And I didn't get the alert, so it's probably taken me months find this...

An enjoyable chapter, though I am a little confused as to whether or not it's supposed to be a continuation from the first chapter due to the shift in narrative voice etc. I'm going to go ahead and assume that the first chapter is some sort of dream?

I'm intrigued by the two strangers at the inn, and can't wait to find out their back-story and what implications Jonathon being a breaker will have.

Personally, I'd have removed tavern/restaurant/inn and just put inn. Perhaps it's because I was raised on RPGs (I know, what a geek) but I just naturally assume inns serve food and ale.

I also really liked the "it goes" line. I'm not sure why, but I just thought it was kind of sweet.

Can't wait for the rest :)

As far as failed experiments go, it's pretty darn good :)

I would certainly be interested in reading more, and I feel a chapter like this has plenty of scope for a wider story, even though it almost stands on its own.
