Icyfire4w5 3/3/10 . chapter 1I've been looking for a short story to enjoy, and I'm glad that I've discovered yours. I'm not sure whether this is an auto-biographical piece or not, but all the characters seem vivid and interesting, maybe because they all have their own little quirks. I think you've missed out a word between "for" and "to", but never mind... I think that the Italian words make the grandmother-grandchild relationship much warmer and more intimate. (Oh, I've noticed the A/N... Hmm, so your story is a mixture of real life and imagination, good! I love food, and I think that food-inspired stories are kinda rare.) |
countrygal96 2/8/10 . chapter 1I hear that! My Nonna makes theese cookies that I can't remember the name of and I asked her for the recipe and I had to write it down cause she had lost the paper years ago! I LOVE GNOCCHI! I didn't know it was spelled like that though... Anyways, you made me hungary because the last time I had Gnocchi was when I was 8 for my dad's birthday... Well I'll probably get soem soon because my dad has been going through a cooking stage(you know when he wants to cook EVERYTHING he likes) and he always cooks it down at my Nonna's house so she's always correcting him("No John you put 3 eggs in." "But you said 2." "I said 3" "*sigh*") adn it always comes out perfect... I'll have to sugest that he makes Gnocchi... Anyways LOVED the story! Mary |

Aidan McKenzie 12/9/09 . chapter 1Aww! This was cute! I like it a lot! I miss both my grandparents terribly, though neither were Italian. This was a great way to remember yours by! P.S. The food references made me hungry! And I LOVE pasta! Haha. Great work! Aidan |
