Amber's a bit weepy, in this story, but you changed that by having it take a sweet *aw* moment turn, and you made it work well with the rest of the story.

Though for some reason, I kind of picture it as Amber and Paolo, or one of them, old and looking back on this, because it seems fondly reminiscent, your writing style does.
