This is the first non fanfiction piece of yours I've read. I must say, you are one talented author. I love the realistic feel of character emotions. Even minor characters aren't one-dimensional.

This was so beautifully written and just absolutely perfect. I was looking forward to at least one love scene between Gus and Jayce though.

Geesh I didn't know 12 chapters would pack such a punch. I'd thought it would feel rushed, but it's absolutely not, it goes in a leasurely calming pace, but it's to the point enough that it's not boring. I'm not a baby person but this story is heartwarming :) I still kind of want to kill jannie though.. Haha definitely worth reading.

You did it again SL. I just finished this story and it was amazing. You should definitely make a sequel (if you have contemplated it already) I wanna read more of Gus and Jayce and their little Princess.

I found this story to be very heartfelt. I enjoyed the emotions and some of the issues that could have been drawn out and exaggerated were dealt with swiftly and succinctly. Not too much angst going on (thank god because the last story of yours I read was killing me). This story was very much about family to me, which I enjoyed immensely. You seem to love having character cook for one another; it has been a theme in almost all of your stories that I have read. I wonder if that is significant to you in some way.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story, so thank you for posting it. Thank you for writing and I look forward to all of your future works (and the ones you already have posted that I haven't had time to read yet).

"I hope you don't mind meatloaf," the unemployed guest stated.

"Jayce, I just told you I can't cook for beans. If you threw a raw cow on my plate, I would be grateful because I would be way better than I can do," Gus stated sincerely. She looked down at her plate to see meatloaf, potatoes, and string beans. Her eyes went wide for a moment. "I didn't even know I had vegetables in my house," she mumbled in a shock.

"They were buried deep in the back of the cabinet, next to some cream corn," Jayce reported.

I laughed out loud at that part. :D

Jannie might be the most selfish bitch on the planet. Is it bad if I want her to die a painful and horrible death?

Loved your characters and your plot as usual, I just wish that it was a bit longer and that you made the end more complicated, I guess. I feel as though their reunion was to quick and the way Jannie accepted things at the end was too easy.

But I still loved it!

I really liked this. Jannie was such a pleasantly obnoxious character and very easy to hate. I much preferred Dane and Nicole's story, but this is sweet as well. :D

PS: I can't tell you how much I HATED the name "Princess." (Though there were reasons for it, I cringed.)
