The temptation to write "imagination is a beautiful and terrible thing" is pretty much overwhelming. It's cliche, but it fits. I sometimes think my dreams are going to gradually destroy me from the inside out, but at the same time they're the thing that is keeping me going. Cayenne.

I love the tone and voice you use. It so real. It seems like you're really imagining this as you write-or, if this poem comes from experience, like you've imagined this many, many times before. It's so realistic. If only, if only, if only... That's how life seems to work, a lot of the time.
