Never apologize, please - it wasn't supposed to be uplifting. But it was completely touching - heartbreaking actually. At last in this chapter I could see, hear, touch and even smell your characters as 3 dimensional beings and not just words on a page. I could feel Talia's salty tears almost brimming over in the caf, I could see her red-brimmed eyes and understand that she could not even be close to being all cried out. I could see her through Bennett's eyes actually and I could feel him touching her hair, and later guiding her by the arm to the bus stop. I could hear Bennett breathing hard after his push-ups and could even smell his sweat. Yeah, you took me that deep into the story, girl.
