You could tell this to your friends in a sleepover, as a ghost story. :) Interesting. I know it isn't, but to me it sort of sounds like a prologue for another story. Any way, I like it. :)

I really love this! There's just something about it that makes it so powerful even though it's so short. And the way you get the readers to think about it is so original :D I think that maybe 'The Forest' could refer to a tribe that lived in a forest and were thought to be killed along time ago, and now it's a ghost story in the town that the spirits of The Forest haunt and murder people that enter so she's with her friends and they dare he to go in. She maybe could have been one of them and was taken and adopted by some people when they were attacked, that's why everything seems so familiar. Then, she could see members of the tribe around her, hence 'The Forest Is Alive' and the wolf is coming to attack the tribe so her instincts kick in and she saves a young member of the tribe. The Forest realise that she is one of them because of some symbal she thought she was born with on her body that shows people you are from The Forest and they take her away to meet her real family and be part of The Forest. But that's just my idea :P

Short, but very powerful! It's awesome. I do agree though, that it should be made into a story! I bet you'll get lots of reviews. I love all the descriptive words you use, and it flows very mysteriously! Keep up the great work. I'd love to read more of your work!

Shame this is a one-scene story. It waould have been a great story later on like about some detectives who are walking in the woods and find the girls body and try to find out whoever killed or attacked her. But okay, nevermind.

Said girl was taking a walk in the woods, she fell and at the same time she realised her while side and who knows broke out from her human form resulting in the blood present.
