Quite interesting short story. I liked the glimpses of history about the king & assassins, the Taku system, and the characters' history. But then again, I like puzzling out mysteries instead of getting an info dump. The story is like an expensive, bite-sized, chocolate. Very small yet rich and satisfying. Of course, I would prefer if the story was longer, but I think it stands on its own. Thanks for writing and thanks for sharing.

Love it! Wish there had been a little bit more physical intimacy (not necessarily in detail, just the assurance that it did occur, considering that you built it up as one of the major conflicts), but I enjoyed it for too much to care. Excellent job!

It feels like they will have more adventures. And the rooted-men incident doesn't feel finished either!

I really liked this story! Whyru and Piyan relationship is so great, it's complicated but still has a simplicity about it. I love the length of the story and how they come together in the end and that throughout the story you could tell how they were feeling towards one another without having to have them be all over each other or be so obvious about it. Great job I really enjoyed reading this!
