Hey Fish, this is Rachel. I just wanted to let you know that I have been on ADHD medication since third grade, and these medications have been one of the best improvements to my life. I guarantee that my social skills would be much worse, and my academics would truly suffer if I was still as hyper as I was. I assure you that I am NOT zombi-like in any fashion, and I maintain my creativity and individuality. While it is true that ADHD might be overdiagnosed these days, for children that actually suffer due to ADHD, medication can be a lifesaver. For me, it literally was. Without medication, it is likely that I would have committed suicide in fifth grade. Without medication, I am unproductive in any way shape or form.

Yeah, so true! Because, even though ADHD and being a Special Ed are supposed to be "bad" you can learn so much! I have a Special Ed kid named Noah, and like you said they are so carefree and happy! They're always smiling and interested in what you say...

If only everyone else could be that way too. .
