In the first stanza the last line congused me. Was that line in reference to how you feel now or when you were together or when? It just seemed odd to me.

In the thinking, speaking part, the semi-colon didn't seem right to me because that part isn't its own sentence and that's what semi-colons are used for.

I loved the ending. It was totally unexpected because dear john is usuall for army so I assumed the person was away. This ending was much more poignant and sad. I liked the whole peice. I think you described the devolution of a relationship really well and poetically. Nicely done.
