"I sheath peace like wounds grown over." Whoa. What a powerful line. The speaker sounds like Athena, almost - as though she is able to put a 'scab' over the 'wounds of war.'

I don't know if you intended it, but this creates the image of sleeping beauty for me, the castle overgrown in thorns, the prince fighting his way through the thicket.
