Isca 6/16/10 . chapter 1"Smell the dust rusted on my teeth." This line has a very T.S. Eliot feel to it. Bravo. "Blooming tide." Beautiful description. The repetition of "Jolene, Jolene, Jolene" is very powerful (especially because each time the speaker mentions it it's in a different emotional context). |
Black Sparrow 5/17/10 . chapter 1:) A beautifully written piece. Absolutely lovely. XD AAA |
YasuRan 5/15/10 . chapter 1One of the greatest things about your writing is your absolute reliance on creating the picture with a series of implications. It reminds me that human emotions are complex as they come, with very little use of boxing them into categories. I was actually thinking of the version of this song sung by The White Stripes, that being the first one I heard. The love quartet of sorts played out nicely with some lovely lines: 'he will crave me like songs in the car' among others. Really, you are an amazingly talented poet and I have nothing but praise :) |
