"and hot coffee's from Starbucks"... coffees

I like the piece. I think the format is great. It creates a really interesting visual. The idea of buying a washing machine being intimate was also really unique and it made sense it a weird sort of way so I liked that as well.

I loved the bit where you

mentioned women still coming there to mourn.

I thought it was beautiful.

And, the structure was amazing.

I wish I had something constructive to say, but this made me speechless. Lovely.

the littlest things change lives.

it's amazing, where change strikes.

"Oubliettes." Perfect word choice.

"And Seattle is like some kind of dream." Everything before this leads up to this line; the tone here is so angsty and moving. I love it.

"Every button meant to be undone." Don't kill me, but I couldn't help but think of Snape's robes. :P

"There used to be an Indian burial ground here." How coincidental. We drove by one just the other day.

"Women still come here to mourn their dead, rotting canoes." That is somehow so profound to me. Wow...

"There were never pilgrims here." You're brilliant, do you know that? :D

I could literally taste the intimacy of the scene. The Starbucks reference, the images of the past, false visions alluded to, etc. Damn, just about every single line spoke volumes.

Great job, Juliet!

Whoa, that was brilliant :)

I loved the line

and Seattle is like some kind of dream I once inhaled

with the dusty dusk, and boys in vests - every button meant

to be undone, a barrier of the two of us downcast -

I also loved the way you added in the Indian burial ground. That is touching.

The last couple of lines are brilliant and sadly true. I love it.

Brilliant job and keep writing!
