You've got words wrapped 'round your fingers. This is amazing.

A pretty piece you have here. Very depressing though. The author's note made me want to cry, probably because all the men that have died so far have done it for a lost cause. Being Canadian I feel like there's no end to this war, and the men volunteering themselves are either foolish or desperate; at least, that's the impression the media gives me, perhaps you could give me a different one.

I also have family who were entangled in the war. War is a horrible, vicious thing. It's always hungry, eating away at our hearts and at our lives.

I hope all of your family made it back ok.
