Interesting piece. However, I do think it would make for a nice beginning for a story. Perhaps not for what you originally had in mind. Perhaps a review over his life while he prays or his life continues on to find someone new... the possibilities are endless. Anyway I thought it was an interesting piece. Do continue writing.
