I didn't know I could cry this much at the end of a book.
I still have tears streaming down my face as I type this. This story is my new all-time favorite historical-fictional-almost sci-fi text. From the first chapter I was hooked, and I'll be honest in saying that I may have lost sleep on account of staying up late to read more chapters. I wish it could not have ended, yet you closed it so perfectly. Your characters were beautifully portrayed, and you depicted the 17th Century France setting wonderfully. I'm running out of words to say. This was a beautiful story. The entire time I was wondering why this isn't already in print and being sold in stores.
However, news of a sequel makes me ecstatic. I am really looking forward to it, and this story I will definitely re-read.

Beautiful work. Some of the pacing with tying religion to character development came off a little heavy-handed and awkward in its suddenness at times. Overall, great piece. What a grand love story.

Honestly this was an amazing story that needs to be published it is one of the best, if not the best, historical fiction novel I have read on fan fiction and any where else. I do not usually post reviews on stories but this was just to good. I am looking foward to reading more of your stories.

I am crying so much. That was so beautiful. I can't even breathe. I know I sound so dramatic but that was just such a beautiful story. What a lovely, lovely ending.

Can't believe this story is over I loved it! But I was surprised that Elora never told her Grandmother or Peter the truth. It just seemed like her Grandmother would have understood since she was the only one to notice something was wrong with Elora, especially in the span of a day her suddenly speaking better French than she had ever in her life. I'm surprised Peter never accidentally stumbled upon any of the artifacts that Elora had of Louis since I doubt she would have thrown them away; or him bringing up the subject of her stay in France to her family and noticing inconsistencies. But I'm sure that if Elora had told him the full truth he would have believed her since she had so much proof to support her story. Although one question didn't she had at least faint scars from when she was whipped? If so that's something I'm sure Peter would have noticed and questioned how she had gotten them. I also half expected the guide from Versailles to try and track her down to question her further.

Thank you so much for the wonderful story! I have been following it from the start, and I am sad to see it finished (and am crying just a little). I fell in love with your characters and admire Elora for being so strong after all she had been through. I am looking forward to reading more of you work, whenever you decide to put it up.

I keep rereading this story over and over. I know it's not done just yet, but I can't help it. I don't want it to end. I found myself lost in Louis and Elora's world. I never want to leave and I never want it to end. Thank you for ending it in a "realistic" way..in the sense that she did have to go back to her original life. Could you imagine how much history would've been altered had she stayed? That certainly would've made things complicated. I love your writing style. It's so fluid and transitional quickly and nicely. I hope you write another story after this one is complete. You are truly a master at your craft.

I wish Elora would get back to the past, but I guess there's a chance that might not happen. The future is so boring in comparison to the past!
