All my life I have dreamed of reading a story like this. All. My. Life. You took the shabby, outdated myths of General Lee and the "chivalrous" South and exposed them for what they are. Myths. And then you created your own myth, of freedom and courage and love, and you did it with humor and imagination and sensuality and style, even though from the looks of things English is not really your first language.
