beautiful imagery, gorgeous.

I liked the alliteration in the first stanza it worked well.

I also thought the ending was great. It's a beautiful description of how things didn't work out.

The other line I really liked was "with our pasts on our backs" it's a beautiful and unique way to describe how our pasts continue to affect us.

The only thing is going from detonate and then waiting to do the explode part seemed a little off me to.
