God, poor Ari...I hope Bree isn't really dead, but I doubt that's the way it is. And I knew Daniel and Frizz were going to be a couple ;) somehow Daniel doesn't seem like he can stay completely happy though...

I like that sentence. It's a strong one because it's such an unusual opinion...kind of like something a short story could be started with, because obviously there's some reason behind it...

This is starting to seem sort of post-apocalyptic (except obviously there's still society, it just sucks) or something, with the slaughterhouse (and the powers? are they in this one? I feel like Penny might have some sort of power...) and it's totally not what I expected...interesting that Penny and Ari get their own story. I wonder if it connects to Nicole's/David's/everyone else's.

Oh god, I feel bad for Daniel. I thought the cut lip at the beginning was bad, but the end...poor guy.

Ugh, the slaughterhouse sounds terrible.

Falling Pencils is a GREAT band name.

Kind of weird that Penny calls herself Bree now...hey, that's another thing we have in common, characters getting weird multiple names!

You are really setting the story up very well - the suspension is going to kill me! The juxtaposition between past and future really adds to the tension. You are doing an excellent job of keeping the readers' interests!
