wow this is really beautiful! i lovelovelove how dem isn't like the maiden in distress; i see that all the time in slash stories, and it bothers me to no end. sergei's like his prince, but dem's a pretty tough cookie, too. i really like how this story has its bits of softness and sweetness but also has the action-packed aspect. other stories of this genre that i've seen end up being a zillion jillion words long before things are finally wrapped up. i'm insanely glad to see a story that doesn't end up like one of those long ones, but is still resolved nicely without being too quick or abrupt. well done! :D

p.s. the sex scene... omg. HOT.

Hey, thanks for mentioning the time thing in your A/N :) Your comment on terrorism made me think of the Family Guy episode where Lois runs for mayor (not sure if you watch or not) where she gives up trying to actually answer debate questions and just starts spouting out 'keywords' like 'Osama' and 'terrorism' and such. Which of course, also reminded me that 90% (and I'm probably being generous) of Americans give into the mob mentality and are fairly easy to control. Looking at it that way...yea, I can completely see your point. It also makes me paranoidly (yes, I make up my own words) glad that I got out of the US when I did!

When Dem linked up to Samael, I was really sitting there thinking nah, there's no way Sheepie'd make it that easy on them. Guess I was right about that! Looking forward to learning more about the Catalyst, and hopefully more of Samael as well. It's curious though - she's happy for humanity to die - I wonder if she knows about Spire's plans to start injecting Dolls?

I'm also itching to know who Dem was cloned from - don't suppose you'd respond to that in your next A/N? ;P
