I actually like Luke, and I feel bad for him... He's just not ready to face the world. It's not really his fault, living in that kind of homophobic community. Not everyone can say "it's alright man" all the time like Johnny lol. Is it really the end for them?

Poor Luke...but way to go Johnny! I know it's kind of hard times for everyone there and I love Luke, but I was actually happy he hooked up with that girl. Seems like he he's moving on. He's a free spirit and I'm loving his journey and not just the sexual one.

It's true, too. Feels like the end of the world, but there is so much more out there. Find something else - move along. No need to flinch back at every little dissapointment. 'Sides... relationships are between two people - two different lives no matter how closely entangled. You always have to keep that in mind.

(which doesn't help you any because I'm a woman and not Johnny, but you know, the thought must count for something).

The last bit (starting with the two of them together) was beautifully written, very intense, that emotion clearly overwhelming him...yep, devastating. *sigh* OTOH, there's the cool, caring grandma and I can't wait for what could be a new, exciting chapter for Johnny.

Anyway, god. I mean, you're a brilliant writer and you capture the emptiness that comes from a relationship ending, but like, that little spark of hope that's like, 'well, I'll start over, fresh.' So, anyway, I hope good things are coming to Johnny at his grandma's. Things that involve musical success, but more importantly tons of hot sex. yep.

I think Carl and Johnny are right about Matt and Luke - it might not be sexual, but there's a possessiveness there and Matt is definitely a jealous person. Johnny will have to be careful, especially if the band gets famous playing his originals!

um, holy shit. I'm freaking out right now. Like, mentally hyperventilating. Oh my god. What is Fred going to do? Be a jackass? Take it alright? Argh!

Also, you know, I just, every time I think you're gonna fall straight into a cliche, you avoid it. And every time you avoid it, I fall in love with this story a little more. I mean, the Matt being jealous thing. I was like, 'oh, here we go. He's secretly been pining for Luke forever but he doesn't know how to accept it.' (which may still be the case, and it would be fine if it was) but then Carl was like 'doesn't mean he has the hots for you' and you know-that's so true. I mean, he doesn't have to be gay and in love with Luke to be jealous that Luke is closer with Johnny (and once Alex). It was just perfect. You keep the story really grounded in reality without making it boring and it's just lovely.

Alright, what else...oh, I'm glad the band is going to do some of Johnny's numbers, I hope that gets him some contacts or something. I don't know. I'm glad Matt is finally recognizing Johnny's talent. Oh! And another perfect thing-the fact that he was all "sure you can sing cuz I gotta rest my voice." that was so in character it killed me.

Anyway, can't wait for more, as usual!

And I love the hell out of you, Luke! *hugs Johnny and Luke* Luke saying this along with Johnny's verbal and physical reaction afterwords...was just perfect. It really sums up the nature of their connection so far.

Thank god for Carl! Matt freaked me out. What an asshole, and no, I don't care if he's jealous, that was way out of line. I guess sooner or later, they're gonna need to work things out. Now Fred, oh god...that really freaked me out and I'm dreading his reaction too. Is there a chance his gaydar wasn't working?

No offence to Roger Rabbit (love that movie, saw it ages ago), but I knew I would get some R rated version eventually! ;) Loved Johnny's reaction after Luke's performance and from what it looks like, Luke can't hardly wait for his turn. Yeah, Quid pro quo, Johnny boy. The little 'busted!' moment by Melanie was unexpected and rather sweet. Hopefully no damage has been done. Now, I can't wait for the upcoming visit to the cool grandma and the possibillty of bumping into Chris. I still remember that time on the grass, the musings...seems like ages ago.

A little clarification since older Johnny and the other universe is at the back of my mind with what I mentioned earlier. Come to think of it again, I actually love and adore Johnny as much as...yep, Tony. They're both a perfect match for House. However, I don't think I've ever come across such a powerful character like Johnny. That in-your-face attitude, that persona...After reading JS all over again, I understood (I got it in the first time but still) why I was so drown to him in the first place and cared about him in terms of character development etc. throughout the story, as much as I normally care about House's (he'd better not mess things up!). Okay, so I care about all your OC's - male and female in that way. They're simply the best out there, always a perfect match for House, and you're my favorite writer. Point is, you've created this brilliant Lone Star world entirely for the fascinating Johnny which I guess, says it. :)
