When I first opened this I thought it might be a bit cliched, but it's actually not :) Your characters seem interesting - though maybe you've introduced them all a bit too quickly instead of more gradually so we get to know them.

Your writing style is very light and cheerful, and I like the constrast between the descriptive bit at the beginning and the rest of the piece.
