Caecilia's Flute 2/11/12 . chapter 12Gulp is right! I still miss "Gallia," though. I had a hunch a new chapter would be up. I was right! -C's F |
Caecilia's Flute 12/8/11 . chapter 11Indeed, Titus, as would I be astonished had I recieved news of such caliber as that. Can you tell I'm reading Othello at the moment? Anyway, I now fully understand the whole "absolutely astonished" comment, makes a lot more sense... it's the title of the chapter... well played. -Caecilia's Flute |
earthday 12/8/11 . chapter 11Great chapter again - I love the variety of awkward/'sticky' situations you put Titus in! I'm interested to see how this ones turns out and also, how Marcus goes with tracking down those men! |
earthday 11/19/11 . chapter 10Ooooh I smell trouble! ;) I loved this little chapter, nice and short and sweet! You manage to keep the story going nicely and interestingly and with cute humour too! :) Can't wait to see what happens next to poor little Titus! |
Caecilia's Flute 11/8/11 . chapter 10Well that's... disturbing and intriguing at the same time. Rideo. Isn't that interesting. A young man that looks and sings like a girl... what the heck, not strange at all. Another short chapter... but do I smell a fight about this Gallia (this is assuming that Titus gets to meet her- I mean, HIM) between Titus and Marcus Alba? *Oooh, Titus is is TRUBBLE!* Yes, I did mean to misspell trouble. My spelling isn't THAT terrible. P.S. YAY ANOTHER CHAPTER! |
Ioga 11/5/11 . chapter 9Hee, still reading. I noticed this round that you emphasize with both italics and underlining - while it doesn't show up in my more primitive reader, it rather jumps out on the web browser. Made me wonder for a moment if I should be looking for a hidden message in the underlined words! :) This Rufus character, I could learn to like him! Mwahahahaha! Thanks for this! |
Caecilia's Flute 10/16/11 . chapter 9Oooh, cliffhanger. Nice! And now I want MORE. MORE. MORE! In Latin, litter is lectica, lecticae. The first is singular, the second plural. I'm glad I actually understand the context and whatnot! |
earthday 10/16/11 . chapter 9It was lovely to get your message that there was another chapter to this story! A nice, short but sweet chapter too! I can just imagine Titus' reactions to being treated 'like a woman'! Great! :) |
iridescence2593 8/29/11 . chapter 2hola! i just found this..and am loving it already...i can almost see the whole thing in front of my eyes...thanks to your wonderfully fluid narrative... |
UpsiDownQuestionMark 8/24/11 . chapter 8I was excited for a moment and then they didn't even have a real kiss. I get it, leading up to it, but i have a bad feeling Titus is about to do something very stupid. I can't wait. Looking forward to the next chapter, i liked seeing the weak side to Marcus, it was a nice change. |
earthday 8/24/11 . chapter 8Yes! Another chapter - I was really happy to see this! And such a good one too - I liked the little scene between Marcus and Titus especially - glad to see they are both alright too after the end of the previous chapter! ;) |
Caecilia's Flute 7/16/11 . chapter 7I dunno if you know this, but DOMINUS means master. So are the kidnappers Marcus Albus's slaves? (It is Albus. Says me, the Latin expert. NOT.) Secondly, how could the dudes have mistaken Titus (Tite, in vocative) for Rhea Sylvia? Was it dark? I kinda missed that part. |
Caecilia's Flute 7/16/11 . chapter 6No! Don't go, Rhea Sylvia! Sorry, I know it's totally fruitless, but am I the only one who has a bad feeling about this? |
Caecilia's Flute 6/21/11 . chapter 2I like it... I think. I have a few bones to pick with you: 1. It's Marcus AlbUS, not AlbA. I think. You see, the adjectives have to agree with the endings of the nouns they are modifying. Random Latin rule that certainly doesn't apply to English. 2. Most, if not all, wine had wine in it. It purified the water (I think- I bet I'm really off). I don't even know if they HAD public fountains for drinking. 3. There's another way to know that the man is of political importance: the color of the toga. If it's purple, he's REALLY high up. If there's a red sash, he's in the military (high up, of course). I could be wrong on all of these points, though. |
Ioga 6/20/11 . chapter 7I don't *normally* come drop off reviews every chapter, but couldn't resist an invitation. :) (Took a while to get over the site modifications too, but now I'm all compatible and TOS compliant again, and free to spend my time reading instead of fighting with technology!) I noticed a review liked the short chapters in particular, so I'll comment I'm a bit more of a long-chapter person myself. It's just because I read so many fics at once that reading chapter-by-chapter means a lot of context switching. But luckily, short chapters can accommodate both kinds of people - I can wait for a couple of chapters to pile up and read them at once, and the short-chapter folks can read the short chapters as they come! As for comments on the story itself, ooooh, delicious! My suspension of disbelief coughed a bit at the smooth "oh ok, we can't rape the old hag so how about we do it on the boy instead" transition, but hey, it's Rome! ;) And Marcus Alba to the rescue. Heart! And another cliffhanger, you fiend! |
