I didn't take notes as I read. Normally, I would, but your prose was very strong, and when I was reading, I was compelled to finish it rather than try to critique it. I love this very unique idea. Every word mattered and brought the piece together perfectly. It's one of the best one-shots that I've seen in a long time, and I commend you for it, especially since the concept is so near and dear to people.

In a way, I was able to appreciate how there weren't any names used in this story. This almost allows the reader to put themselves in the narrator's place. I have nothing but good things to say about this overall. Very good work. I'm glad you decided to use the prompt from our site.
