Amusing story, concisely told, with excellent dialog. These were some good laugh lines: "not showing teeth, because that might be threatening; drooling over my slippered toes,

resist the silly impulse to sniff my hand."

I found two possible errors:

1) I'm trying to hard-sell him something- I'm trying too hard to sell him something?

2) if he was insomniac instead-if he was an insomniac instead?
