An interesting read. I like the characterization of the jealous older brother. Though the romance seems a bit rushed. A girl's got to play hard to get, haha. Though maybe I'm just a bit biased.

Anyhow, you set up some wonderful foreshadowing. That ending was definitely mysterious. I'm curious to know if those Lanchesters will be returning. Guess I'll wait and see.

For a first edit, I think you're doing pretty well so far. I'm curious about who the Lanchesters are, and why the Missus seems more freaked by the house, and Melani, than she should be.

I think you were dead on with your portrayal of David. Like a kid should be: innocent, adorable, and truthful.
