I enjoyed the story but felt like quitting when you mentioned “I am writing” this interrupted the story and made the story jump around which became confusing to me. I liked the boy girl friendship and want to set how they end up. Please keep working on it.

I suggest deleting the first 2 paragraphs and all references I am writing. Stick with the story to hold the reader.
