I can't say I empathize with this, really, because I've never been in this situation. But judging by your other readers, they certainly can. The emotion towards the end was really nicely portrayed, great job!

I really do! It reminds me of a Taylor Swift song in that: it's poetically direct, doesn't get clogged up in unneccessary descriptions or phrases, and it repeats over and over and over in your head. :)
