This, to me, can be greatly understood... but sometimes I find that the more I take refuge inside my own mind, the more I come to realize a darker side of me that I never even knew. And that's what's scary.

This is good... but it could be better. You show potential. But, nonetheless, a lovely poem it is.

It's true, people often find that the best source of comfort lies in their own head. It can get kind of lonely though, sometimes.

The poem is very dramatic - life out there isn't so bad. It's really quite a lovely place, once you learn which way is up and down. You should try it sometime )
