a theoretic revolution 6/22/11 . chapter 1wow, i really don't know where to begin with this review... This poem was just, pain and fear and something else that just haunts you way after you're done reading it. I'd read it another 1,000 times and the ending would still give me shivers. " / because, you know, then he's / not really here. and he doesn't have to / be a disappointment to himself / if he's not even around. / " that is my new favorite stanza, i haven't read anything quite like it in awhile, so props. Speakinf of, this reminds me of a book i recently finished reading, Brother/Sister by Sean Olin, where one of the main characters has a mental illness that takes over his whole life and (i'm trying not to spoil the plot, haha) evidently runs him off the edge of sanity. All in all, this was breathtaking, exasperating for me to read because there's no solution to this problem in this poem and that's going to drive *me* crazy for the next 24 hours.. I freaking loved it. Chilling to the core. Catherine |
i collect lullabies 6/6/11 . chapter 1I don't know how to explain how I feel about this poem other than the fact that it made my mind race in weird ways. In order to avoid making myself sound even more foolish, I'll just leave it at that. |
