This is actually such a beautiful story. Your imagery is lovely, and it conjured up such sad pictures because you've written it so simplistically. The circle-of-life theme is excellent and you've portrayed it really well in this and given it such an overwhelming sense of age. It's a very fallen-leaves-return-to-their-roots kind of thing, and as I said, you wrote it so beautifully.
