Nice poem! I think it should be ok if you enter it...it's really great, although it would be better if you could somehow fit in more of the mother's sorrow or something like that.

Just a visual thing: You can add stanzas on FictionPress by putting (shift enter) between lines that are in the same stanza, and just (enter) between stanzas. The Author's note seemed a bit unnecessary.

The poem itself is great! I really liked it. Honestly, there's nothing that I'd change and it should have a good shot in the contest.
