To be honest with you, I'm suprised no one's taken the time to review (not to sound rude). I found this a really interesting beginning. Your protagonist is very likeable, from what I've read so far anyway and I her name is a unique combination.

I like her reasoning she makes about the nickname and her relationship with Miss LeFavre.
