all right, first off, I do have a bit of criticism for you today, but its really only grammar stuff. Make sure to put commas on sentences like: "Of course, Mrs. Lurch," he assured (,) calling her by her maiden name. Or "Aren't they gorgeous?" she awed (,) pulling a smile across her face...

just a simple comma will make it flow much better. : )

anyway, that's all I could pick out on this chapter. Otherwise it was very cute and fun! I love how reluctant she is about doing even the smallest things, like eating cotton candy. And Chad is growing on me more and more. : ) good job. : D
