Reviews for Father of Waters
Silent Winter 8/5/11 . chapter 1
Hmmm, I am not a poet myself, but this captured my attention. For one, this seemed very historical and, well violent, to me, lol! Although the latter seemed as though it was on purpose so it didn't seem out of place at all.

However, the one thing that confused me a bit was whether or not this poem refers to America or Europe. You mention the Mississippi and 'painted men' (although this could refer to a people completely unrelated to the Native Americans, I think my opinion was skewed because of the bit about the Mississippi).

Although now that I am writing this review and the wheels in my head are spinning I am wondering if this refers to the British Isles? The first line of the last verse gives me a tendency to lean in that direction.

Overall, I thought it was an absolutely beautiful and unique poem. You did a wonderful job! -
