I wouldn't really call this romantic to be honest. I like the fact that she wasn't taken by him in the end but to be fair he is the type of unusual customer I would have liked to come into the cafe when I was a waitress. I think you should look up They Might Be Giants, 44 women in 88 lines, it's sort of a song version of this.
