Oh wow I wasn't expecting to enjoy this so much but it's really really good! I'm a big fan of the whole competition/games set up so this is really up my street. One thing though: there are a substantial number of spelling mistakes (ie, hear instead of here, knever instead of never etc...) But if you give it a quick read through I'm sure it'll be easy to sort out. Also I'm assuming when you write 'mutts' it's a shortening for 'mutations'? Part of the reason I was so unexpectedly taken by this story was because I thought it would be one about dogs lol. Perhaps you could find a way to change the word slightly so it becomes more clear?

All in all though, a VERY entertaining read and I eagerly await the next installment :D

Sounds Kinda like Hunger Games, but with magic and stuff. Interesting choice... I will read more.
