Ah, yes, it makes a guy feel so man-of-the-worldly to love her and leave her. Then he goes home and wishes he could cry it out like she does. You did an excellent job of showing us how it feels from the female side.

Absolutely adore this one. You have such a way with words! Everything just flows together so gorgeously, and the imagery and feelings that are paired with it are extremely powerful. I especially love the bitterness in that last line, quite tragic, a feeling I can relate to.
