Levomenthol: YAY UPDATE! I was really touched by Adamir. What a kind man. He just gave essentially all he had left, up for Kieran. I think I would too, but I don't know if I'd be as brave. Kieran is turning into a real king, the way he refused to let the mercenaries away with killing everyone behind them - it's too adorable the way he still expects special treatment though, even in battle he was like "what are you doing?" to the guy who was gonna hit him :) Can't say how much I loved this chapter. I'm going to read and re-read!

Poor little Braith. I'm glad he isn't going to get that reply from Kieran, it's almost frosty! I was surprised Kieran went on about his feelings so much though, I thought he'd fake being stoic more. I got so panicked when the sword came to Kieran's throat towards the end, and then I felt his shock when he took the guy down the way he did. I am so shipping Terence and Kieran right now though, especially with how heroic Kieran is being! Terence has to be safe!

Adamir is so emotional! Please don't let him get killed :( But then I think maybe he would have got killed for letting Kieran go :( And his family story is so sad.

The fighting is so exciting now, and I love how brave Kieran was at the end, and how the cleverness is coming back too, rather than just being depressed. I hope Kieran, Terence and Adamir can get away somewhere safe.

Things kind of exploded here, and it was amazing. It's hard to phrase everything that pops into my head in a neat order. I can understand this being a 36 hour blast - not because of any in quality (always top notch) - because it all comes together in a great rush, which is a massive delight to read, because it just floods the senses!

You deserve a ton of reviews for this. I think you should have a 30-hour rule in which you worry about a lack of reviews AFTER the time period has elapsed, because they always come through! Have faith _

So. Kieran's letter made me cringe. I don't know if I felt like he'd overdone it or underdone it. I just thought it would be the worst thing for Braith to read, for Terence to read, for the Queen to read. I guess it says a lot for his state of mind.

Adamir was heartbreaking here. I understand his motivations so well, but I can't get that he thought he could stay at camp after his betrayal! He was also somewhat naive to trust the mercenaries. I kind of feel like he should be getting Kieran out of there right now, although I appreciate he wants to save Terence and others himself, and that Kieran would refuse to leave.

Kieran - as soon as the ankle healed up enough he got superpowers! Lol. He was just the right balance between powerful and weak through the chapter, able to stick up for himself, but very nearly dragged away again! I'm uneasy about how he is considering Braith, but secretly delighted at his instant love for Terence at the end, and also the way he truly values and respects Adamir.

Terence - The hardest one. He was like a puppy with the counters thing. He is beyond smitten, but blundering around to the point where I could fear for his life right now. (I'm not, because you couldn't possibly kill off Terence if Fidele is dead)

Extra points for Cataline and Stotgard for strength of character.

Firstly, this update came so much quicker than expected! I didn't even realise there was an update till I saw the review count jumped.

Secondly. The action. I think my heart stopped beating in a mini-hiatus for most of this. I could feel my figurative head shooting left and right between the characters. I think I cried at one point. I was in fear at the end. I'm always excited for an update from you, but to be honest this chapter has left me the most excited of all. It's all going down, and right now. Every single person (aside from castle people) have their life on the line right now.

Thirdly. The characters. I can't bear to see Kieran and Terence not together, and I thought it was the perfect touch that Kieran gave up the possibility of going home to try to save Terence.

Fourthly. GAHH, I still can't even. I am mindblown.

Okay, so I'm this major lurker that tends not to review due to never having anything worthwhile to say, but not right now! First off, I might be in love with you XD also, I love the pacing you have set. It seems you keep warning if boring chapters, but I have yet to read such a thing!

Also, I do have to say that while I don't hate any of the characters (excluding king lothar, the ass), I am particularly in love with Kieran and Adamir. I really am worried that Adamir is setting himself up for sadness, and I hope that he ends up alright. I am also probably the most hesitant of the Terance/Kieran shippers. XD I know he isn't a bad guy per se, but I keep thinking 'b-but Fidele!' ( this is partially why I'm hesitant to read the pre-story stuff you've posted. Fidele's death is still to fresh!) I also am curious if Braith will grow up to be a pseudo-Fidele for Kieran. I am admittedly weak to such age-reversed pairings. XD

So in short, thank you for what you've done so far, and I am looking forward to what is to come! I am also looking forward toseeing Kieran-mama kicking some ass. :)

Oh so now things get all hot and interesting! Why do I have the feeling that Adamir isn't going to make it out?

I'm interested to see what happens next. Will Terence be uninjured when they find him? How much of the camp will survive? I can see this really changing the dynamics of everything so I wish the next chapter was up already:)

I'm glad Kieran is defending himself. I don't know why, but I just didn't like the thoughts of him being totally helpless, but I think I've said that before.

I will say that I think people's reaction to what Terence said was a bit off. Kieran wasn't innocent, himself, but everybody's mad at Kieran. I'd like it to be more even, that's all. Most arguements are the fault of both people.

I like how hard it is to get Kieran's boot off, because it's the same that would happen in real life, if a sprained ankle was stuck in a boot after the injury.

I love how Terrence interprets Kieran's smile as a good thing, haha, and Adamir's reflection totally shows how weird it is. It shows his stubborness.
