Another good one!

I very much like this poem, sure the errors pop out at me easily, but it's still good.

This does just make me think.

I’m a bit on the fence about this first stanza. On the one hand I think your opening imagery about being stripped down to the filter was very good. I could see this person sauntering toward the narrator in that moment when you let your guard down and you see everything, almost as if all of your senses are attuned to that one other person. I also feel like it doesn’t conclude on the high note that the opening sets. “Always and forever I’ll cover for you” I don’t like the use of always and forever and I feel like what follows is too obscure and bland. I have a hard time putting it into focus with the rest of the piece.

I’m really intrigued with “he’s the healthy kind” as a parallel to all of the descriptions of cigarettes and poison. It fascinates me quite a bit actually, almost as if by committing to the other person you are releasing your own demons, while taking in there’s – that’s the feeling that I got from it.

p.s. – I adore the title/description, but I’m sure you’ve already gotten that a lot. Keep up the good work.

i really love the opening stanza in this poem.

this collection brings back a lot of weird memories about my ex, but i can't stop reading.

i really like the emotion in this pillowbook, and the way the interactions between the people described change over time. it's very realistic.

this entire collection is clever and funny and sometimes really gorgeous. there are some lines here i want to remember for a long, long time.

Beautiful imagery here - a massive contrast to the obvious rage and annoyance in the earlier pieces. I think you chosen the perfect metaphor here - he's been slowly eroding the walls surrounding your heart, working his way in, and now you've crumbled. As sad as it is beautiful, my friend :)

This was awesome! The 2 last lines just about made my day.

and the whole collection thus far sounds a lot like a relationship i've had before...
