I really liked this poem and I think the word insane fits really well. A few suggestions though would be: Sporatic, Crazy, Hectic, Paradise. If you want words that rhyme with remain try Feign, Maintain, complain, brain, gain, lane, mane, main, inane, pain, rain, stain, Spain, slain, vein, vain, vane, wane.
