i really like the tone of skeptic-idealist-hoping-against-hope (i don't really know how to describe it) and all that. also, nice flow. this ends a little negatively (EVERYTHING YOU WRITE ENDS NEGATIVELY UGH) but i think that suits the piece, so. this is good.
