I like how you've decided to have Alexander's POV in there; when reading Violet's POV, you wouldn't think her of her mind the way it's portrayed from Alexander's point of view (I was gobsmacked really- Violet's got a strange mind indeed; image wanting a nightmare, basically, to stay in your head? Violet's character just got more interesting in my opinion! :3) I think it would make a lovely prologue, it would really set the scene for when we're back into reading about violet. Since Alexander isn't the main character, it might be more comfortable to write this chapter from third person- but really, I think it's fitting either way (whatever you think feels right is probably the best way to go!)

Anyway, I'm loving it! Can't wait to see what happens next :D

I read this story about a year ago and I absolutely loved it. I've really wanted to reread it but I'm always on the run. So I was thinking, you should also get your book on Kobo. I don't have a kindle, so I can't get it on my Kobo, but I'd love to be able to so I can read it on the go. Because it really is an enchanting novel!

I recently found out you were publishing this story online. Congrats! I love all your cover art and I enjoy your writing from reading To Kill a Gun. I'll be taking a look at the next ones in the series as soon as I'm done this.
As for the story, I like the nature of Violet's relationship with the Nightmare and now this new character, the Dream. I like that's it's complicated and ultimately a little sinister because I don't think I was getting enough of that aspect earlier on; I'm all for the twist of Alexander trying to betray her. This world is unraveling nicely, best of luck with your ebooks! )

Anyway, first off, I want to say congrats on the publication! Next, I read part 2 in like a day so I'm eagerly awaiting the third installment over here. Now, if memory serves me, the ending of part 2 seems to be quite different than in your rough draft (it's been a while since I read it). Sounds pretty interesting though.

I started reading this on my phone through a mobile FictionPress app. I'd been looking for a story I could get into that would be something fantastic, interesting and absorbing, written with good grammar and great syntax. I was overjoyed to find it here, in something that mixes mythology, the supernatural, a sense of logic, and the always sought absorption that brings emotion. I look forward to reading your other stories.

You paint a great picture, managing to be detailed without being verbose. Bringing Violet into the world that one previously thought was inaccessible is interesting.

Narcolepsy is a great explanation that ties in and makes the story easy to relate to. It's nice to find a story I can get into again.

I love the fact that you actually develop a plot with a twist!

Congratulations on the publication, what a terrific feat! I read this a few years back as the original version and I'm assuming the ending still stands? Of course, I'd love to read it after all of your edits and sweeping of cobwebs, but my biggest question does it end the same way as you ended the original, unedited version?

I read 'Once upon a nightmare' and was curious about the re-write... because of course, i loved it, it was really original! It'd been a long time since i last read something good in fictionpress... It feels like you are trying a different style here, don't get me wrong, it's good and all, but the first one was more... funny? entretaining? Violet's personality feels stiffer, when it was so fresh and bold and sincere in your first draft... I guess what i'm trying to say is, i liked the first one better! Anyway, i never reviewed, so congrats on the story!
