I would have liked it to have a slower pace than Once Upon a Nightmare (OUaN). OUaN, it felt kind of rushed. Everything happened one after another and there was no breather chapters or anything and usually I abhor transition chapters but they do have some importance to them.

I think I would have liked a little LESS to have happened in this first chapter.

Wow, this is turning out great so far! Really! I like the changes you've made so far. But you stopped updating... way back in April. What happened? Have you already grown tired of writing? Or are you just too busy? Well, either way, love the rewrite so far, and will eagerly wait on my toes to see if you continue it.

I just finished reading your original story, was BLOWN AWAY by the amount of originality and writing ability you have over the majority of authors on , eagerly checked your profile page, saw this updated story in excitement, read it to find what changed, and-

think it's deeper, darker, and much more intriguing than the original (which already was a great story to begin with) and it's so exciting to see the new developments. i particularly like the changes you've made to Alexander and Gloom's characters- it makes more sense and gives better dimension to them so far.

when and if you do decide to continue this, I can't wait to see where this story goes. :)

I read the original story you posted and it was amazing! And this one is even better! I really hope you update. It makes me sad to think that it's been four months, I just hope you haven't given up.

I read "Once Upon A Nightmare" a few monthes after you finished the story, and when I found myself wanting to reread it last week, I was both surprised and pleased to see the rewrite. It's an interesting view of the origional. I especially love the way that Alexander and Violet interact. Please continue!

Oh, please keep going. This is dark and beautiful and breathtaking. And weird as can be, but it's that rare kind of weird that *works*. I love how the literature references fit naturally into the narrative, and that Violet, while shy and introverted, isn't without personality. I can't wait to see where this goes!

I began re-reading this story and having Violet back and her story under construction is like re-connecting with an old friend. I was pleased with the original story and I'm sure I'll be just as much if not more with the new one.

Having read Once upon A nightmare. I was wary of this rewrite. I see not that it was just silly, Nightmare King has already started to excel further that its previous rendition. That was a very high standard to beat. I really liked what you have so far. (I've read all the 6 chapters you have up)

I've read the original, Once Upon a Nightmare, but reading this revised version still feels as fresh! The story is going along beautifully! I'm really liking the new way Violet is being characterized. By the way, you're a great author! One of my only favorites on FictionPress. I'm so eager to see how the story unfolds. I hope you have as much fun writing this as I do reading it!

I've read the original Once Upon a Nightmare and thought that the story was very original and love your characters and their development.

From the first 6 chapters, it looks like you have made great efforts as it is more refined and makes more sense. I like how you're taking the direction of the story and hope that it continues getting better.

The only thing I didn't quite like about the original was the way it ended, so I'm hoping that it would be different this time although I do understand why it ended the way it did.
