You know, I half expected Neville to kiss Ross before he flew. It's that kind of emotion-packed moment and adrenaline that would lead to that. Granted, I can't imagine the complications that would have arisen if he had, so the bromance remains strong with these two, and rightly it should.

And having done this routine of nigh-insane last-minute traveling to meet up with a loved one more than once, I'd say that you also captured that moment of reunion and relief very well also. Just that feeling of when no words can fully tell how wonderful it feels to see them and touch them again...priceless.

i was very excited too to see you updated :D i really wish i had a friend like neville, he's so great, what a true best friend should glad ross finally got to see amber. but what happened to her, is she weak cause of the mess she has to deal with her father, or just weak cause she was separated from ross. and ross is such a sweetheart, i like how much he changed from the beginning to now, fantasic character development. now their finally together. lovely chapter,niall is such a numpty hahaha. update soon :D

Huh... that was both the Susanna I expected, and yet one I could not have expected. Seductive and sly, sure. But understanding? Didn't see that coming.
I also understand the root of Sam's problem too. And if there was any room for thought that she and Ross would every be fully on the same side, I think that has been laid to rest. Now to see what awaits him in Vienna.

perfect. its so sad to see ross falling apart. i liked the interraction with sam & susanna,for a minute i was like is her going to sleep with this hag, then i was like no he wouldn't hes too in love with glad he's going to go be with her, cant wait for there reunion.i hope amber is happy to see him, and he doesn't come to find her cheating on him,hahaha that would be too sad. can't wait for next update :D

And finally Ross hits his limit. (And a moment I don't look forward to greeting myself here in about a month...)

This is a very strong chapter emotionally, and I knew right from the first conversation that dear Finchy was going to have a moment like this where he finally just collapses. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, not at all. Everyone has a point where they can go no further and just need to fall so they can recover, and he tried his hardest. I can only imagine what Amber is going through a world away.

im so glad you updated. poor finchy can't stand to be without amber. and amber,thats just a crappy situation shes in, tons of new feeling being brought up around be intense. that must be really hard to deal with, i have no idea what i'd do. i just love emma hahaha. i really hope ross doesnt do something stupid & get drunk & cheat on amber. maybe he'll take a train and go with her. but update soon, really great chapter :D oh & i started to read it again haha

This is a really hard-hitting chapter for the main duo, and there was no easy way out. Amber's got a long trip ahead, and while part of me is suspicious that her dad is even ill at all, I'm not sure which would be worse.
Ross...yea, he needs a pint or six.

okay amber is so brave, going to visit her father after all that shit he put her through.i dont know if i could do that, my father is a prick just like hers.i felt bad for ross, having to witness amber fade away into a different person. i got scared i thought they were going to break up,he almost proposed aahhhh. he going to be so lost without her,good thing he has his buddies to look after him,even though its not the sam. i hope we get to read about amber with her father. and you haven't pushed that limit, everything in life isnt always happy,usually well in my life when stuff is going right,i know somthings going to happen to screw it up. the story is still very real & honest, loved the chapter, cant wait till update. every chapter gets better & better :D

yeah you finally updated. im glad ross wants to take things further with amber. i love this not over the top like alot of other stories. they seem more real. i wish i had friends like ross. amber dad is back. ahhh very good chapter. cant wait for next. :D

It's good to see you getting back to this story, as I know how much you enjoy writing it. Even if won't admit it now, Ross misses that sweet, sweet saltwater and adrenaline. And honestly, while I don't think he and Sam will ever have afternoon tea together, I think she means to be there for both of them so long as it helps Amber. Like a babysitter perhaps...
And then comes the stab from left-field. I'm most curious to see what this letter has in store for Amber now, and how Ross will take to meeting him, should that be the outcome.

I never would have thought Sam as black-and-white. Though her outright denial of any contribution of Ross' was deep, scathing and quite brutal, it was also an insight into Sam herself. From this, I actually wonder if she herself was scorned by Ross indirectly, never having her night on the waves. Now, to deprive him of the same joy, she imposes herself as Amber's family and protector from him. Just a theory anyway. Or she's just being a protective sister from a fatherless home.

The whole night felt quite real overall, with props to Freddie for saving graces and to Al for just being awesome. Reminds me a lot of Booster Terrick. Taking Finchy out of his element and into the lions den was well played, and it shows just how far he will go for Amber now. I do wonder how this will go in reverse when Amber meets Mrs. Finch.

man sam such a bitch hahahaha, shes probably pissed that amber can get ross to do things she could never or has some hidden feeling for him. i love ambers & ross relationship. neville is brilliant. i like how amber just wants to conquer everything & ross is there by her side. lovely chapter, cant wait for more :D

And a conflict that was due to happen, sooner or later.
There was some real venom in this chapter. Subtle more on Ross' part for Heller, and outright vorpal for Amber. And it was good to see the Doctor being the one to settle the score and prove his character by not buying stock in rumor.
And with Finchy agreeing to meet Sam in her territory, I think will come another major step towards that real lasting commitment.
Then Susanna came back. And oh good lord the rage. I do have to wonder just what will come of the day should these two ever be stuck in a room together.
