This is really good, a sad story but brilliantly well written as always.

really liked the lines "were gone. They disappeared one day. / Smoke from a crushed cigarette." great metaphor. and the shift in the piece right then was pretty incredible, just the change in tone and the sheer violence of it.

I also really liked the ending lines. there's something about it that's hopeful and at the same time defeated. a very effective mix.
