I absolutely loved this except for one line which, for me, threw it off; "This power he wields quite powerful". This just didn't make sense or flow right, in my opinion.

The twist at the end is an interesting one as it displays both the power of the narrator and her oblivion to that power, which thematically is quite a sophisticated idea.
