I'm glad that you chose not to quit. Please see this story through to completion... it is very interesting.

Three questions: Are the Pure Ones after her as well as her children? Does the Dark One (who is probably Keiran) intend to do anything about the Pure Ones? When will you tell us the story of her children's unusual and somehow famous spirits?

Has she already forgotten that she told the Dark One to find her? Is she really this clueless?

If this guy does know who she really is and he allowed her to make a fool of herself lying and running away, she won't appreciate this when she discovers the truth. I do realize that the dark one chose to hide his identity, but he isn't getting off on the right foot with Ezlie.

Since trust is one of the foundation blocks of a healthy relationship, this is not a good way to start.

Please forgive my many questions. I find that it helps me when reviewers ask such questions, so I hope that this helps you as well.

Is it safe to assume that Keinan is the Dark One?

And if so, then why the entire subterfuge? He obviously smelled her and also obviously knew to phone Emillian. If his people already phoned Emillian to arrange a meeting, then why put on a pretense of not knowing who she was or how she is related to Emillian and the family?

Who exactly are Thaddeus and Zeraphine? Do spirits reincarnate or recycle?

And if there is only a few days before the twins get their spirits, then why not wait to go shopping until they're safe? If T and Z are their spirits, are they simply waiting to manifest? Will these two be the next Dark Ones?

It seems that the twins are unique in more ways than one. How, exactly does a Drakit convert a human? Up until this point in the story I thought that it was only through finding his one true mate.

I realize that this is jumping forward to chapter eight, but does this mean that Ezlie will also have a dragon spirit if she marries Kieran?

Question: does the shop owner recognize Sahirah as a Drakit? Is that why she was frightened? If so, then why didn't Ezlie?

I like your main character's spirit as well. She is definitely not weak.

You might consider breaking up the one large paragraph in the middle of this chapter. Such a large block is harder to read.

Having read through chapter 8 to get a true feel for the story, I must admit to a little confusion about this first chapter: If her intent was to become a surrogate, why would she be upset about being pregnant?

Also, I was a little confused about the timeline: How old was she when she lost her parents? How long after that did she decide to become a surrogate?

This is a fascinating story, though it does feel a little rushed at times.
