Impressive.

This story is much more plot-oriented than previous ones, but you hardly lose sight of your characterization or setting.

The whole story takes place in Coward's (Leon's?) mind, which works I think. It follows his own impressionistic stream of memories, in a Proustian way.

I think you've managed to powerfully evoke feelings in a very brief story.

This was kind of strange and wistful...I'm not sure I ever really knew what was happening though...

I think this story made me hold my breath. At the end I felt dizzy. Or could it have been the feeling of getting close to the center of another plane of consciousness. I liked it, thanks for posting.
