ANYWAYS. Like, the dream sort of makes me think that Rey is starting to want to do more, since they really don't do much besides kiss, but Eiryu's still sort of funny over it. I guess he would be, since his brother and all. I think Rey saying he'd probably still be his familiar even if the broke up solidifies a lot of things for him in the relationship.

This was a fluffy sort of chapter, but I think it's a nice touch. There's not much physical contact between the two in the past, so putting in a bit like this reminds us that they have more than a business relationship. Overall, it's nice and works the plot in the sense of their relationship.

ohmygod i laughed so hard when Eiryu pushed Rey out of bed

If Eiryu tries to break up with Rey ever I will be devastated. Have you seen AirBud where the boy has to get Buddy to run away or whatever? It will be like that as in, I will be sobbing grossly all over the place going, "NO EIRYU DON'T" and "HE'S LYING REY, HE STILL LOVES YOU OHMAGAWD!"

Ahem.

Or maybe if they bond somehow, in like even a bigger way than they already are, it'll help with the exams and also the exhaustion.

Also, for some reason while reading this chapter, I just pictured the boys as like, two young, plucky detectives and it was ADORABLE. I wish I could draw so I could put them in Sherlock Holmes gear and give Rey a magnifying glass to sort of look through skeptically before saying, "Eiryu, what the hell? I can see with my own eyes, I don't need this thing." and Eiryu would pout and be like, "BUT AUTHENTICITY!"

AWE! I love their banter in this chapter! And, ew, Jack. I mean, okay, if I was dating Eiryu and he was like that with me, I wouldn't like it either, but that's real shady dragging a current bf away from your ex and telling him that RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR EX. sheesh. Manners.

About plot-threads, NO! It's a great thing! It's like I'm watching a favorite tv show or something. Plus it means that story is going to go on for longer in order to tie everything up! :)

If Eiryu, like, tries to kill himself I'm going to cry BIG SNOTTY TEARS all over you, because he's actually showing a lot of signs of suicidal-ness in this chapter. Just saying.

OH and earlier in the chapter made me think. So, like, Eiryu gets energy off of Rey, right? I'm just thinking of how many levels of screwed he'd be if Rey got sick from stress/germs/what have you.

I don't know what's wrong with me. My brain was screaming MAKEOUTMAKEOUTMAKEOUTMAKEOUT and logic was screaming SHE DOESN'T WRITE SMUT YOU IDIOT SHUT THE HELL UP and so, yeah.

Okay. So. This is that little part of my brain where Dex, Ky, Danny, and Adam are all currently living together speaking, but what if Eiryu asserted his dominance? I mean, like obviously not with sex for a while, but I dunno. They could get into a fight and Eiryu could just be pissed enough that he punishes Rey and goes a couple weeks without seeing him, which makes Rey sick and therefore puts Eiryu in control. Or, you know, a nice awkward little conversation about who would top and who would bottom in the hypothetical situation of sex works just as well.

It would be interesting to see how Rey's body would react after spending so much time with Eiryu.

I'm not sure how I feel about the backstory with the uncle and the grandpa. They're worried? That's what all the secrets and sneakiness are for? I feel like this is definitely shady and there has to be something else going on. It's just too simple, really, and I'm overall just a really suspicious person. I dunno.

Please _don't_ worry about "dominance." Most relaitonships have complications: one takes charge in some areas and the other takes charge in other areas, and in other areas they have real equality of initiative and drive. The _best_ relationships involve a lot of mutual caring and equal power relationships. Also, don't worry about them "acting like guys." Guys act different ways, and Eiryu is from a different culture so if he acts in a way that is consistent for men from his culture, that's sufficient.
